The brief involved designing a single storey structure, including an open plan retail area, with separate warehousing, delivery and staff welfare spaces.
Materials wereÂ chosen to both compliment the existing character of the area, and to provide aÂ building that is both contemporary in design, whilst being balanced and contextually appropriate withinÂ its surroundings. Natural stone walling and feature tiling ensured the scheme fits into the surroundingÂ vernacular, whilst contemporary full height glazing and flat panel composite cladding added aÂ contemporary and high quality finish to the design.
